Join small groups to hear from folks at different points in their career about how they got to where they are and the challenges along the way. Facilitators will share how they got started, what they do, and how they connect their work to climate justice. These are not lectures. There’s plenty of room for questions, doubts, and meandering.

People don’t fit in boxes. Artists are also organizers. Entrepreneurs are also caregivers. You’ll find that your facilitators weave across categories—just like you do. Consider sitting in on jobs you've never heard of. Each circle will run for around 45 minutes, including Q&A.

The reason our times and leads are “TBD” is because we're still shaping this! Use the form to reach out if you have a journey to share. We’re looking for folks from all kinds of backgrounds. Our goal is to show the depth and diversity of what a sustainable climate job can be, as defined by you.

Below the form, you’ll find a list of job paths our team has identified as examples of climate-connected work. If you see yourself reflected, please reach out! But don’t feel limited by the list. The point is not to fit into a category. It’s to help show what’s possible.

Sustaining Life, Practicing Repair

1. Acupuncturist: Uses traditional practices to support body balance and healing. 

2. Cultural Organizer: Builds power through traditions, memory, and creative practice.

3. Therapist: Supports people through mental health and emotional growth.

4. Transit Advocate: Pushes for accessible, sustainable public transit for all. 

5. Community Health Worker: Bridges community needs with public health resources.

6. Food Sovereignty Farmer: Reclaiming land and feeding communities.

Shaping Space, Holding Life

1. Parks Dept Ecologist: Keeps city ecosystems thriving in parks and public lands. 

2. Pilates & Yoga Educator: Uses movement to support embodiment & resilience. 

3. Public System Steward: Works on city infrastructure to keep public life flowing. 

4. Street Vendor: Building community and economy from the sidewalk up.

5. Urban Planner: Designs how neighborhoods are shaped by zoning, transit, & housing. 

6. Deliverista: Fights for rights, income, and dignity for delivery workers.

Transforming Systems, Knowing Systems

1. Staff in Elected Office: Works within government for policy change and public access. 

2. Co-op accelerator: Builds the models of shared ownership that we all need.

3. Civic Technologist / Participatory Budgeting Facilitator: Builds tools and processes for public decision-making. 

4. Law: Fights for and protects our rights.

Organizing Power, Shifting Culture

1. Community Organize: Helps neighbors take collective action around shared needs.

2. Union Organizer: Builds worker power and wins protections through collective action.

3. Theater Maker: Creates performance that moves people and fuels change.

4. Climate Justice Advocate: Fights for regenerative systems that work for everyone.

5. Community-led Investor: Moves money into projects by community, for community

6. Engineer: Figuring out the mechanics civilization, from our buildings to our technology.

7. Youth Organizer: Helps young people take leadership in social movements.

Imagining the Future / Revealing the Hidden

1. Graphic Designer: Integrates form and color to communicate and persuade 

2. Visual Artist, Videographer / Cinematographer: Visibilizes ideas and emotions to inspire, provoke, or heal.

3. Participatory Researcher: Co-creates knowledge with community to inform action

4. Stylist: Curates clothing and aesthetics to express identity and power. 

5. Solar / renewable / wind developer: Creates renewable energy.

6. Narrative expert: Works at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and social change to shape what people believe is possible and whose voices get heard.
