05/02/26 @1:00PM: Mini fair for Work, Justice, & Action
How do you earn a living while working toward a more just world, especially in systems that have long excluded communities facing racial and economic injustice?
This gathering is an attempt to face that question together. Hear from 4-5 speakers, drop by tablers, and meet amazing people committed to mentorship, workforce development, and community wealth building. Light snacks will be served.
Activities
Hear from dynamic speakers who have stories to tell about their winding paths. You'll also be surrounded by people who are on their own journeys and ready to share their challenges and learnings along the way.
Drop by tablers ready to share resources, information, and advice.
Have a resume you want reviewed? Come early and look Street Works reps. If we can't review your resume on the spot, we'll schedule time with you!

Why
If you’re 18–26 in New York right now, you’re coming of age in a moment with no clear script. The climate crisis, rising costs, political instability, and erosion of hard-won rights are reshaping what work looks like, and what stability even means.
Future@Work is a creative collaboration designing for a generation navigating uncertainty. We’re exploring careers as evolving, artistic journeys that may be nonlinear, improvised, and shaped by the needs of our communities and a climate-changed world: with adaptation, resilience, and mutual aid.
We’re holding this event the day after International Workers’ Day, a day rooted in worker-led movements for dignity, rights, and collective power, led by working-class communities and people of color. We’re still in that fight.
