Holes in the Wall Collective
Holes in the Wall Collective, we engage with the world we’re in- which means acknowledging the deep wounds at the hands of humanity, while actively supporting those courageous enough to transform it.
Imagined Futures // WATER WAYS
An interactive climate experience and city-wide scavenger hunt to celebrate, repair and reimagine our future through our waterways.
When: 09.01 - 09.30
Where: All over NYC
Cost: Free
Holes in the Wall invite you to connect with people all over the city and find ground in what climate readiness means in ourselves and our communities. From survival toolkits to the playlists to survive these times, it’s an invitation to connect to the deep and lasting legacies of community-based climate work in every borough of NYC.
Whether it’s joining us for a panel literally on a boat moderated by Grist’s Tory Stephens, attuning to the water with Intelligent Mischief, joining a daylighting tour, water ceremony and art parade in Queens with Guardians of Flushing Bay, or adding your hand to a group chalk painting of underground water in Collect Pond Park, the once pristine drinking source of Manahatta overcome by corruption, disease and a continuing swampy history… we're out to get you more connected, reflective, involved and engaged with this city.
And for those of you in town just for Climate Week, come learn from communities on the ground by putting your hands and hearts into the incredible work of restoring ecologies in every borough of NYC. Join climate work in action. We promise you won't regret it.
