Map Our Local Resources

All day, Frontline Resource Institute, Bqe environment Environmental Justice Coalition, Street Works, JHBG, and Others

What do you notice when you look at Jackson Heights through the lens of climate change? What helps our communities thrive, and what needs more attention?

Come to Street Works Earth to create a living map of Jackson Heights and surrounding areas showing what we know about our neighborhood, including where community resources and resilience exist, where people are experiencing harm or facing challenges, and where there are opportunities to imagine something better.

At the festival, add your own knowledge, stories, and observations to the map. Point out a resource you rely on, a place that needs care, a hidden strength, or a possibility you think others should see. Together, we’ll begin building a picture of the neighborhood through the eyes of the people who live, work, and create here.

After the festival, FRI, Street Works, and community partners will continue developing the map online, creating a living community resource that can keep growing and changing as local needs, knowledge, and possibilities evolve.
