03/08/26 @1:30pm: Making sense of money: art + dialogue
Join us at 2nd Story Movement for a creative brainstorm on how to build wealth in and for our families & communities.
Many of us haven’t had the opportunity to to learn about how to navigate money, wealth, and the financial systems that shape our lives. Starting in 2026, we’re working to create more artistic spaces to explore wealth gaps, wealth literacy, and planning for the long term together.
Eventually, we're aiming to build a wealth + climate literacy training or curriculum designed and led by our community. To get there, we’re first clarifying what's needed, grounding in art, and getting feedback on the sketch of a curriculum. We also welcome co-leaders interested in designing something from scratch!
This was started by a small group who built their financial knowledge from public resources and get how hard it is to learn the secrets of a system that is gated by design. We hope we can be a place to learn exactly how people in America build wealth over time, imagine alternatives to the unjust systems that have created extreme wealth inequality, and speak openly about goals so we can financially destress together.
