Mary-Elaine Bullitt

Mary-Elaine Bullitt is a multidisciplinary creative executive and master strategist in event production and media direction. With more than 40 years of experience across entertainment, fashion, and cultural programming, she has produced award-winning, high-touch experiences ranging from corporate summits and brand activations to arts festivals and philanthropic galas.

Early in her career, Mary-Elaine served as Tour Coordinator for the iconic R&B group Kool & The Gang, and went on to work with other legendary public figures including Iman, Geoffrey Beene, Oscar de la Renta, Larry Holmes, Muhammad Ali, Earth, Wind & Fire, Prince, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, The Temptations, and Color Me Badd.

Mary-Elaine is widely respected for her ability to lead complex, concept-to-completion productions with precision, grace, and cultural fluency. She has managed budgets from $50K to $1M+, built and led agile teams, and streamlined logistics without compromising creative integrity or audience impact. She has also held executive leadership roles across media and cultural institutions. She served as Vice President of Ministry On Demand and the Xperienc On Demand Affiliate Network, the first Black-owned television, film, and music distribution company with its own global smart-device platform.

Before her work in broadcast media, she spent over a decade shaping the modeling, fashion, and pageantry industries. At the historic Ophelia DeVore School of Modeling and Grace Del Marco Talent Agency—the first Black-owned modeling and talent agency—she rose from Director of Promotions to Vice President. In this role, she produced and commentated fashion and cultural shows for clients including Macy’s New York, World Bank Africa, Black Hair Magazine, Studio 54, and Spelman College. She also produced an annual benefit show supporting the Columbus Times’ Assault on Illiteracy program, for which the City of Columbus created a day in her honor.

Mary-Elaine also served as State Producer of the Miss Black Minnesota Pageant, where she designed programming rooted in confidence, cultural pride, and self-defined beauty. She later expanded her work to the global stage as Regional Director for Americans for Democracy in Africa, coordinating delegations to Nigeria during its landmark transition from military to democratic rule.
