Below are the questions registered designers for the Sustainable Fashion Designer Awards will fill out when they submit designs after June 26.
We’re setting a minimum standard for sustainability for individual designers, while creating space to see how standards should go up as they start selling their work.

This September, we’re bringing a fashion competition to Street Works Earth to celebrate designers, artists, and neighbors creating outfits that show how care for people, communities, and the planet can be gorgeous, inventive, and stylish.
We’re inviting fashion designers at any level — self-taught, students, emerging, or established — to submit one original wearable outfit that demonstrates sustainability. Designers must be available in person in Queens, NYC, September 20-27 to present their work (exact day to be confirmed.)

Kaleidospace: seeding hope and creating healing spaces
Artist spotlight: learn about Kaleidospace, a 2024 Street Work Earth participant, performance ensemble, and community convenor. For Street Work, they’re developing a 2-part music & dance experience immersing us in the story of corporate imperialism and its roles in climate change, as well as the role of collective community-based action in seeding hope, hard work, and alternative healing spaces.
